This week is all about Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which is good news – the original game is something of a cult favourite, which is a kinder way of saying “not the blockbuster guaranteed bestseller publishers like EA green light on the regs”. A bit of breathing room in the release schedule may mean Faith’s latest gets more attention than it would going up against games where you shoot or blow things up.
Elsewhere, retail release means Paragon may spark some added attention. This is the most faithful reinterpretation of the MOBA of the big three (the others being Overwatch and Battleborn) so it’ll be very interesting to see how it fares among MOBA and action fans alike.
Otherwise, it’s a good week for fans of JRPGs, with Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir both making their debut.
As ever, keep an eye on your region’s PlayStation Store update for local PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita release dates.
